Our long and successful history in designing shelters includes the NATO First, Second, and Third Generation Hardened Aircraft Shelter liners that are an original Wonder Building TM design. And we worked with the USACE on original designs for direct-attack Hardened Aircraft Shelter liners as well. Wonder Building ammunition shelters (ESH) are fully tested in full, one-third, and one-quarter scale models. Our engineering has been reviewed and accepted by every branch of the U.S. military and by major international contractors worldwide.

Hardened Structures Government, Inc. designs structures according to UFC 3-340-01: Department of Defense Unified Facilities Criteria : Design and Analysis of Hardened Structures Government, Inc. and UFC 3-340-02: Department of Defense Unified Facilities Criteria.

Military Applications of the Wonder Building
With the strongest arch panel in the industry, militaries and governmental agencies around the world have utilized the Wonder Building for its proven strength and durability. Unlike Quonset Huts, Wonder Buildings provide durable clear span without frames or trusses. Modular in design, Wonder Buildings can be designed to be permanent or temporary, relocatable , reconfigurable, and portable. Heavier gauge Wonder Buildings can be designed to meet even extreme snow and wind loads or can be Earth covered or Hardened to provide protective shelter, blast buildings, ammunition shelters, or NATO shelters.

The following graphic represents the requirement for "Military-Grade" EMP hardening. This profile was developed from extensive research into EMP effects of nuclear weapons, and known vulnerabilities of equipment, electronics, and infrastructure. In a typical "military-grade" EMP shield, an additional "de-rating" margin is added which allows for the facility to degrade over time and still meet this minimum EMP profile.
